More Than Mothers: The Lives of Our Lovelocks Girls
Proving their excellence in the world beyond breeding.

At Lovelocks Cobberdogs, we believe that a great breeding dog is much more than her pedigree. Our girls are integral members of our family and community—intelligent, emotionally attuned, and purpose-driven companions who actively participate in a range of activities that showcase their exceptional nature.
From therapy support roles to national ad campaigns, our girls are living proof that temperament is everything.

As Seen on Screen: Advertising and Media Work
Over the past few years, our Cobberdogs have been selected for a variety of television and print advertising campaigns. Their calm nature, trainability, and distinctive beauty have made them favourites among creative directors looking for dogs who can confidently handle studio environments and perform under pressure.
“Whilst this isn't something we focus on, it does make for a lovely break from the normal routine and a fabulous testament to the temperament of our girls.”
Whether seated beside an actor or sitting calmly through a long camera take, our dogs demonstrate the same soft presence and emotional steadiness that make them ideal therapy candidates.

Workplace Visits & Therapy Support Roles
Our girls are regularly invited into workplace settings where their presence brings calm, connection, and a quiet joy to staff and visitors. With their innate ability to tune in to people and create a sense of safety, they naturally excel in animal-assisted therapy contexts.
Some of our girls have accompanied us into healthcare and educational settings, offering quiet companionship to children, adults, and professionals alike.

Obedience & Enrichment Activities
Each of our girls has completed formal obedience training and continues to engage in enrichment-based activities. They’ve participated in our local agility club, not just for physical stimulation, but to build confidence, problem-solving ability, and strong communication with their handler.
“We believe meaningful enrichment is essential for the wellbeing of our girls. Engaging their minds and bodies through positive activities supports emotional resilience, cognitive health, and strengthens the human–dog bond. Most importantly, it honours them as intelligent, feeling individuals—not just mothers, but companions in their own right.”

Temperament That Speaks for Itself
The versatility and poise our girls demonstrate—whether on set, in a classroom, or curled up beside someone in need—reflect the heart of our program: to produce emotionally intelligent, therapy-suited companions who are deeply connected to their people.
This is the legacy our girls bring to every litter they raise.
